Contessa

A relatively close relative of the Negroni, The Contessa cocktail still packs a delightful punch and never more so than when using our Portobello Road Navy Strength Gin. Also substituting the classic red Campari for the wonderful orangey Aperol and a dry vermouth instead of sweet, it is full of flavour, not compromise. This cocktail works equally well with London Dry Gin.

Ingredients:

25ml Portobello Road Navy Strength Gin

25ml Aperol

25ml Dry Vermouth

1 orange peel

1. Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice, and stir until well-chilled (roughly 20 seconds)

2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

3. Garnish with a twist of orange.
