Temperance Westside
Try this refreshing Spring serve, a Temperance Westside. A Westside cocktail usually contains vodka and is closely related to the Southside and Eastside cocktails (both gin) but as Temperance calls West London home, and as a white spirit, we're keeping things Westside, with a hint of the Eastside recipe (inclusion of cucumber).
Ingredients
50ml Temperance
25ml fresh lime juice
20ml sugar syrup
Muddled cucumber and 10 mint leaves
cucumber slice
Add 8 mint leaves (no stems) and several cucumber slices into a cocktail shaker, along with the lime and sugar syrup, then muddle for several seconds. Add the Temperance and a generous amount of ice. Shake vigorously and strain with a Hawthorn strainer into a chilled coupe and garnish with a thin cucumber slice and a mint sprig.
