Celebrated Butter Gin
This expression of Portobello Road Gin is instantly familiar but noticeably different, straight away both visually and in the mouth it is noticeably more viscous than the classic Portobello London Dry, clinging to the glass and coating the tongue, and there is shininess, it gleams in the sunlight like quicksilver. To create Celebrated Butter Gin, we use our London Dry recipe, which is then put back in to our copper stills with blocks of unsalted butter, giving the gin a smooth, creamy mouth feel.
Portobello Road Gin NO. 171
On the front of the palate Portobello Road Gin has a generous slug of juniper, the mid palate has a sustained, fresh citrus character from our use of lemon, bitter orange and coriander, which then develops into a sweet peppery finish, achieved by the use of liquorice and nutmeg.
Best served simply with tonic and a twist of pink grapefruit!

Portobello Road Gin – Directors Cut 2015
This year one of our directors Mr Paul Lane harvested our most unlikely ingredient, late season english asparagus from the fields of March with enormous help from our friends at The British Asparagus Growers Association.
Asparagus gin in a slightly different form to this was popular in the early years of the 20th Century but we are unaware of anyone having produced one commercially since 1916.
Before you ask, no it doesn’t.
Directors Cut 2015 is bottled at 47.3% as a tip of the hat to a favourite gin of ours from one of our rival distillers whose Master Distiller recently retired. Enjoy your time off Sir!
